Crappy Weather...

So Since I'm taking a break from school this semester, I've had a lot of free time this week.....if the weather hadn't been so crappy I woulda done more than I had :( I got out tuesday and ventured downtown with Libby :) That was a fun adventure...at least we finally found our way to China Town ;) Went into the Nordstroms downtown for the first time.....spiral escalators.....very chique and Hogwart's-esk. But the past couple days I've been completely lazy....while it's good to do that on occassion, I need to not make a habbit out of this......if the weather gets better I might take a walk around the lake nearby and go to the beach......get some grocery shopping done, etc.........at least I managed to get my much needed laundry done.....but ya'll know me.......when the weather is crap outside, my mood tends to match......so my mood has been on the down side the past couple days......positive vibes and kudo's sent my way are always appreciated.....at any rate...at least I get to go to work tomorrow.......Which for a change (from the past jobs I've had), I'm actually excited about work and I love my job! Yay Nordstroms!! Well, that's about enough rambling for tonight....I should prob get ready for bed now anyway.........hope the weather isn't getting everyone else down. Night!

New beginnings...

New beginnings...

Hey everyone!

So I know it's been FOREVER since I've done a proper/real blog....so here it is! Life is going well for me, per ususal. Last weekend was my first time working in the Petite Focus department. I transfered from Encore since they don't need me over there any more. I was hired for that department (even though I didn't fit....Encore is the plus sizes department) just for the holidays....and thankfully, Sara (manager of the Petite department) needed more people for her department at the same time. Loving it so far and kickin' butt in sales :) I'm hoping to make SPH every pay period from now on....or that's my goal at least :) Keep ya posted....

Everything is still wonderful between Paul and I (no shock there)....just spent basically the past 3 weeks together :) Spent the first week at Paul's house....lounged about while he was at work, and greeted him when he came home :) Then he came back to SF with me cause I had to get back to work. So we flip flopped, while I went to work, he did computer work in my apartment and picked me up from work :) He also was a stinker and cleaned my kitchen for me one of those evenings while I was working....and I greatly appreciated it :) And just these past couple days I went back to Paul's and spent a few more days with him. It's been really nice spending so much time with him. Being by oursleves at my apartment (the roomies were back at their respective homes) was kinda like a glimpse into the future of our married life together......let me tell ya....I can't wait :)

School starts this coming Monday.....crashing classes for the first time to get my schedule vs. registering for classes and showing up on the first day secure with a seat in the class.....I did a lot of thinking over break and decided to change my focus within my major. While deep down I still want to be a novelist......I came to SFSU to get my teaching degree for college level....well instead of teaching college, I decided over Christmas break that I would rather teach at the Kindergarden level.....a big jump down on the age/grade scale I know....but in the long run I think I would be happier teaching young kids vs. young adults. My family always said I would make a great Kindergarden or Preschool teacher....I have a great love for kids....I've always loved babysitting when I was in highschool/college.....I LOVED doing Sunday school teaching with the 2 1/2 - 3 yr olds at PBCC, my old church back home....and I beleive I have a lot to offer to the younger generations.....we shall see.....keep ya'll posted on that front as well...

Well, that about sums up news for me.....keep everyone posted on working in the new deptartment for work, starting a new semester at SFSU and persuing a different direction for my major :) For those of you who may have already started their semester/quarter, Hope everyone had a great first day back! For those of you who have yet to start, like me, Good Luck!!!

Another Year come and gone...

Wow!! The year has gone by fast.....a lot of great things and new things happened this year......Here's what I've been up to:

January - Went to see "Chicago" at AMTSJ with Paul; thanks baby :) Spent a weekend in Bear Valley playing in the snow with Paul and theatre friends...good times.

Feb. - Spent a wonderful Valentine's Day with my Valentine :) Not much else happened in that month...sorry folks

March - Finished another quarter at De Anza....again not a lot happened

April - My good friend Laura had a bday...Paul's bro got married.....spent a lot of time with Paul....for once our Spring Breaks were at the same time :)

May - Celebrated my 21st Bday....twice....once of my actualy bday by having dinner with the fam, and Paul....then the following weekend Paul made my birthday the best one ever.....He suprised me with a night out on the town in down town San Jose...he managed to get my best friend (and her boy at the time) waiting for me in a hotel room at the Fairmont Hotel with champagne.....after all the excitement wore down, we all got dressed up for a night out on the town....dinner at Stratta then clubbing at Fairenheit...then crashed back at the hotel after a wonderful evening :) Thanks my love :) Started rehersal for Smokey Joes....well Tech week anyway...I ran Lights....I leave the stage to my better half :)

June - Celebrated our One year anniv. together in Carmel for the day and stayed in a quinte little hotel in Capitola for the night. Wonderful memories :) Graduated from De Anza...yay!!

July - Worked, worked, worked.....held two jobs.....between De Anza bookstore and Mervyns....I was one tired gal....when I wasn't working I was packing up my life, getting ready for the move to SF...and spending time with Paul and friends...but that's a given :) Saw Paul in "Annie Get Your Gun" at Cabrillo and suprised him for his birthday with his fav cake before he had to go on stage...I got the whole cast to sing him Happy Birthday too...teehee...he's not the only one who can scheme ;)

August - Packed up the car and moved into a new apartment in the Villas Park Merced in SF......met my roommates again and worked on unpacking and settling into a new life.....livin' on your own for the first time can be really scary....it's a big step....thanks to those who helped keep me sane through the tough time :)

Sept - Added a little addition to my family....haha no not a baby....Paul and I rescued a little female kitten....2 months old when I got her....we took her to my apartment in SF and named her Aine :) I started my first semester at SFSU as an English major :)

Oct - Adjusting to my new life in SF and my new roommates Libby and Amanda, had a kick ass Halloween with Paul and the gang...aka Roshambo and all our friends.....Paul gave me the suprise of a lifetime....he took me back to the beach in Carmel where we spent our one year...got down on one knee and proposed..and of course I said yes!! Now I'm happier than ever :)

Nov - Started a new job at Nordstrom's in Stonestown Galleria....working in the Encore dept....got some great co-workers...really nice customers too.....def a big step up from Mervyns....Had Thanksgiving with Paul and the gang...good food and had drinks at the Brit after...good times there too :)

Dec - Christmas Galore!! Finished the first semester at SFSU, did ok....thinkin bout changing the teaching status to Kindergarden...keep ya'll posted :) Drove (well passengered since my wonderful fiance Paul did all the driving....thanks baby!) up to Grants Pass, Oregon to visit the folks and my Grandma J for the holidays....then back to good ol' San Jose for Christmas Day with Paul and his family (my family-to-be)..good times there....got a lot of good presents, socks, toys for little Aine (who's now 5, going on 6 months, wow!), money, new sheets, special Christmas Ornaments that used to belong to my Grandma, leather gloves from Paul's parents....a leather jacket from Paul (thanks honey!). Now I can dress in style :) And various other goodies...to ring in the new year, Paul and I are going to the same place we celebrated New Year's last year...Brian Therwalt's (sp?) house for drinks, good food and good fun with friends and a certain wonderful fiance of mine :) Stay posted for details of the after math :)

You Know you Live in SF When....

Twice I've had experiences at work where I've had to help a Drag Queen shop. Both were definately eye opener's and reality checks that I definately live in SF.....only in the city would you find a Drag Queen shopping at Nordstroms.

First was a couple weeks ago......working closing shift...not a lot of people in the store so I am working on writing "Thank You" cards to my previous customers....all of a sudden I look up and see a sight I've never in my lifetime seen....a gentleman who had to stand at about 6'3" or so dressed in full leapord print tight pants, and matching top.....blond wig, full on makeup and fake (?) boobs. He/she walked right up to my counter and told me he/she was looking for a slutty dress in a red or green color (keep in mind this was before Christmas).....whether this was for real or a frat prank/pledge rush, you be the judge.

Second reality check was while I was working in the Hoisery dept earlier this evening. The phone rings, I answer and it's a male customer on the phone inquiring how to match an outfit according to color and style. He explains his situation and turns out he is a newly born Drag Queen, looking to find the appropiate pair of shoes and nylons to match a dress he already purchased.....well I advised him best I could from his description of the dress as to what type of stockings would look best, and advised him to bring in the dress to find the perfect pair of shoes to complete the outfit. Thankful for the advice, we ended the conversation....

Both of these experiences made me go "mmmmmmmm....." and fully grasp the diversity of living in the city. Kudios to those who have the courage to live the life that best fits your personality and who you truly are.

Next Blog will be on my wonderful Christmas with my family, fiance and my new family :) For now I gotta get to bed so I can go back to work and do it all again tomorrow. Happy New Year everyone!!

I got a job

I got a job!!! :)

Just wanted to blog about my complete happiness and peacefullness :) Everything in my life finally seems to be coming together.......School is going well, getting along very well with my roommates (Yay Libby and Amanda!), my engagement to Paul (I love you!), and the most recent addition to me peacefullness......the long awaited job!!! I am now employed at Nordstrom's as a sales clerk in a section of the Woman's Deptartment :) Starting pay is $9.80/hr or 6.75f sales :) So my pay check will be plentiful provided I get a good amount of hours/week :) God finally answered my prayers.....it feels good to know I will finally have an income again......I was starting to get really worried as I watched the money in my bank account slowly dissapear.......but now my mind and worries are at ease!!

So this weekend I am going back home with my fiance and going to a Halloween party Sat night hosted by Roshambo! Where a certain handsome fiance of mine shall be singing lead for the evening :) Pics will be posted next week! Have a safe Halloween everyone.....of ya.....and have fun too ;)

When All Your Dreams Come True.... :)

So for those of you who have yet to check either Paul's or mine bulletin, this past weekend was the best weekend of my entire life :) Dreams really do come true :)

What seemed like an innocent trip to Carmel to spend some quality time together turned out to be anything but.....in the best way possible :)

We drove to Carmel, went to a deli, got a couple of sandwiches and walked to the beach to have a suto picnic lunch......we found a cove on the sand away from everyone else, sat down and had lunch. The weather was nice that day....little over cast but the temp wasn't too bad...a little chilly, but not bad. After we finished eating, we snuggled together for a few minutes, and then Paul had me stand up to give me a hug........

And before I knew what was happening.....he got down on one knee, pulled out a ring box from his jacket pocket and asked me to marry him :) I couldn't believe what I was seeing and hearing!! I knew that someday I would get a proposal from him....but it didn't occur to me he would do it then. With one hand over my mouth in shock, I looked him in the eye and gave him my answer, "yes, yes I will marry you". To which of course happy tears followed for me and lots of hugs and kisses :)

Once I got over the shock, we headed back to the car. Right before we left the beach, a couple people happened to see the events and gave their hearty congrats :)

Yet apparently the surprises for the day weren't over yet.......

First he did tell me that we had a king suite waiting for us that night at Hotel DeAnza in Downtown San Jose for that evening. And he wanted to take me out to dinner that night. So we checked into the hotel, got cleaned up for dinner and headed out.....he asked me if it was ok if we stopped by The King's Head (An Irish pub/restaurant in downtown Campbell (sp?)) to say hi to his brother Pat, who more than likely would be there....."sure" nothing suspicious about that.......as soon as we get there, he says he doesn't see Pat downstairs and assumes he might be upstairs.....so we go to the top level and to my surprise I find his parents, grandmother, and a group of our friends (Chenoah, her boy Sean, Emily, Lani, and to my great surprise my sexy bitch Becky!) So he surprised me twice in one day. He knew that we would have our time later but that I would like to celebrate with friends for dinner.........does that man know me or what! (except now I can't trust a thing he says cause I never know when he might me scheming something)

Needless to say this past weekend was the best weekend of my life!! And I go back to my subject title: "When all your dreams come true..." Mine definitely did the moment he got down on one knee, pulled out the ring and asked me to marry him :) Paul, I know you'll definitely read this: I love you and I'm so glad you chose me to be your wife
I will include a picture of the ring next weekend......we took it to the jewelers this morning to have it cleaned and right away the jeweler said it was too big......(I can't size a ring to save my life).....I was wrong on my ring size.....so he has it to re-size it until thursday...so I won't get it back until next weekend :( But I'd rather not have it to wear now if it means that it is being sized so that it will never unintentionally slip off my finger.

Find the man of your dreams guys.......cause being in love and having a fiance is the greatest feeling in the world :)

Stupid Neighbors..Grrrr....

So.....just when ya think your neighbor's can't get any more annoying.......THEY CAN!! Now one of the punk ass boys next door have a drum set.....Grrrrr.......just when I thought it was safe to take my mid-day nap......I get woken up by bad drumming!!! Not to mention my poor little Aine is freaked out cause of the noise!! Grrrrr.......I can tell ya one thing.....If they even DARE to play that drum set a minute..... no no no...a second after 11pm.....I'm callin the office to complain! I hate stupid punk ass wanna be neighbors......if you're gonna play the drums.....at least learn how!!!

Lucky in Love :)

I just wanted to take a moment to express how lucky I am. I truly do have the best boyfriend in the world. Up until I met Paul, I had some really bad luck when it came to men.....but I finally hit a stroke of good luck when I first met Paul. He is the kindest, sweetest, most generous, caring and loving man, no human being, I have ever met. He really is a great person and I am very blessed that I get to wake up every morning to his heartfelt words of love.

I know a lot of you may be thinking this is cheezy, but whatever, I mean every word. To Paul: You really are my perfect match and I love you with all of my heart.

To everyone else: Go find yourself your perfect match.....it will make your life a lot more meaningful.........and happy :)

Less Than Jake Concert

So the Less Than Jake concert Wed night was BAD ASS!!! They had 2 bands open for them: 1) Novice....ehh they were ok.....but there definately could have been a better band to start off the night with..... 2) The Matches: they were pretty good.....good music to rock out too.

But the main event, for me, ofcourse was Less Than Jake!! So fuckin' awesome!!! Paul, you rock for getting us tickets!! I love you !!! Even more awesome, Paul did some smoozin' and got us in the very front (up against the railing)!! That was awesome!

So this was my first ska/punk show....I've been to one before but it was out doors (completely different). Paul had warned me of the craziness that would occur, but it's definately something ya have to experience to get the full effect......Definately a lot of shoving and bodies meshed together once things got kickin' (pretty much when The Matches and Less Than Jake were on). I am very grateful Paul was there to help keep me from gettin' lost and totally smashed by all the peeps there.

Once LTJ came on, I was totally rockin' out! Though for the first few songs I almost blacked out cause my rib cage was getting smashed against the railing (one of the few times it sucks to be short....on an average size person, the bar would have hit at a semi-decent part of their body, but not so much for a gal of my stature). In between their songs (and the shoving stopped) I was able to boost myself up to stand on the railing....def a lot better!! At least my pelvic area was getting the blow; I could cope with that, as long as I could breath I was doing just fine......but as LTJ kept on playin' the crowd went mental.....people began to randomly crowd surf up to the front (right over my head)! The first crowd surfer was a chic and I took a blow to the head...pretty close to my left temple (thankfully it wasn't or else I would have been out for the count for sure....which would have sucked so bad!). Though today I am sportin' quite the shiner and sensitive cranium (check out my pic gallery on my profile for the pic showing my new LTJ shirt and the shiner to match).....but def a small price to pay for a kick ass night and having LTJ right in my face!!!!

All in all a great experience for my very first LTJ show! And hopefully not my last...cause it would be fuckin' awesome to see them again!! Now I know what to expect and will def be more prepared :) But according to Paul, I stuck it out like a champ....def better then a previous girlfriend of his at a previous LTJ show :) Kudious to me! Anyway...gotta go nurse the after math battle scars :) Later!!

First week of classes at SFSU...

Hey Bloggers!

Yes, I'm still alive and well...I know it's been bout a month since I've done an entry but between moving to my new apartment, getting my internet all hooked up, adjusting to life in SF, and getting ready for school to start it's been C-R-A-Z-Y......but I'm back and I'll be doing regular posts from now on.....pics to be posted soon!Well, I just had my first week of classes at SFSU and let me say I am excited!! I'm also a little intimidated cause I have at least 3-4 novels to read in all 3 of my English courses, but some of them I've read or know something about them so it's not so bad. I've been ready to dive into my major and now that I have, I'm stoked!! I've needed a challenge and I have definately found it! Living in SF is going great! Ajusting to the slight weather change, and def loving being on my own! Now if only I can get a job....still waiting to hear from the ones I've applied for and applying for a few more. Income is always good! I had a few guests at my apartment this weekend. Friday night my Sexy Bitch Becky visited me for the evening. It was a night of alcohol, chic movies and junk food.....good times ;) Then, Sat/Sun Paul came and visited me :) Always a pleasure to see him ;) Now that school has started for us both I treasure the times that I will get to see him :) That's all for now....9am class tomorrow so I must get to bed and recharge my battery so I have energy for tomorrow. San Francisco Here I Come!

Well.....tonight is my last night in my cupertino apartment......tomorrow's the BIG DAY!! Leaving early in the morning to move all my stuff to my new apartment. With the help of Lennan, my sis and my parents it shouldn't take too long to move in and get the stuff from the trailer into my apartment. So this blog is coming at ya from Cupertino.....the next one will be in the city of SF! Won't have internet for awhile so my next blog will have primo pics of my new apartment once I'm unpacked and all settled in. Until then bloggers.....take care and be back soon!

Inconsiderate people suck....

To quote Paul......so the inconsiderate man of the year is my so-called friend Adam.......Here's what he did to give him the "douche" award:

As I believe I mentioned in my previous blog, I had a get together breakfast farewell with my close friends (the ones who were in town) this morning. A couple friends couldn't make it cause they had previous engagements....no biggie.......It was still cool. Paul was there (of course), along with Chenoah and Stef (life long friend).

(let me back up for a sec)....I had called Adam first to see if he could make it....I called him this past monday....I originally had wanted to have the get together at 11am (to give everyone a chance to sleep in; especially Paul, Chenoah and I since we were out late the previous night celebrating Paul's 23rd B-day (Happy B-day baby!!!))....but Adam said he wouldn't be able to make it cause he had to leave san jose at 11am to get to Oakland for temple pageant rehearsal (he's Mormon). So I asked him, well if I make it at 9am would you be able to come?? And he said yes, definitely.....so assuming I didn't need to call him and reminder him the time (I assumed he was responsible enough to remember and show up on time)....so I didn't talk to him after that phone call monday....

Back to the present: So Paul, Stef, Chenoah and I arrive at about 9...we go in, get a table to wait.....9:15 rolls around....no sign on Adam.....no I call him on his cell phone.....no answer...so I leave a message asking where he is and telling him we are all here and waiting for him to come.......9:30...Adam calls (he sounds half awake...like he just woke up. he thought we were having breakfast at 10....I told him its at 9 and we're all here, we already ordered and are waiting for our food....he said he'll try and get there as soon as possible........(now if that were true, it would take him 20 min to get to the restaurant).......10am rolls by.......still no Adam.....I call him again...doesn't answer his phone...leave him another message asking where he is and that we're eating breakfast, bout half way through......he finally calls me at about 10:25am (keep in mind, he's now an hour and a half late by the 9am meeting time and half hour late by his thinking it was at 10am)...says he's just now on his way (we're all done eating by this point in time and waiting for the check)....he said he was helping his mom with a few things around the house that she needed him to do.....I tell him don't bother cause we've finished eating and are about to pay for the check, we all need to get going cause we all have things to get done today.....he asks me what I'm doing now and I tell him spending time with Paul looking for a new bed for me......he said oh, well I guess I better make a trip to SF now, shouldn't I? My response, "I would think so!" And he wishes me luck in moving and drive safely...blah blah blah....and I say thanks and hang up......

So blogger fans......can you detect where Adam went wrong?? And see how many times he f*&$# up? Keep in mind he never apologized for being late and for not even showing up......Ya think I have a right to be extremely pissed and hurt?? I sure as hell do!!

First of all.....he doesn't show up on time (9am)....doesn't apologize for mixing up the time (but its an honest mistake, so I let it slide).....he takes he sweet time getting ready and even getting in his car to get to the restaurant.....doesn't have the curtesy to call and say he's going to be even later.......and then doesn't show up AT ALL!! AND DOESN'T EVEN APOLOGIZE!!!! All four of us (Stef, Chenoah and Paul) all could have slept in and met up at 11am for brunch.....I made it earlier just so Adam could come because thats how much I wanted him to be there......if this was a random get together for no reason I might, MIGHT be more understanding.....but no....such is not the case......All I wanted was a small get together with those who matter most in my life to say farewell (not goodbye cause I hope to see my friends again, but I know it won't be for awhile)....granted I'm not moving that far, but I know how life gets in the way and in Adam's case life will definately get in the way.......he's getting married in this October and probably moving to Utah.....I haven't seen much of him since his girlfriend, now fiancee, came back from her mission, so I know once he's married I'll prob never see him again and rarely hear from him. So out of all my friens it would have meant a lot to me if he had came (it meant a lot to me for each individual person for seperate reasons).....so ya.....My so-called friend is officially on my shitt list and has a LOT to do to get back on my good side.........I honestly haven't been this hurt or angered by a friend since my high school freshman year......that was the year I lost basically all my Jr high friends and was friendless for awhile.....I got majorly stabbed in the back and taken for granted.......I def feel taken for granted in this case......

I've helped Adam through SO much of his shitt.......I helped him through the very touch year and a half when his girlfriend was away on mission...comforting him, helping him cope.....and I helped keep him calm and figure things out when it was time for her to come home.....and how do I get repayed?? He won't even take 2 hours outta of his day to come to a breakfast farewell...which he knew about since MONDAY!!!! To use Paul's term.....the man is a DOUCHE!!! And he calls himself a Mormon.....HA! And he never called me back after I left him a voice message depicting my extreme displeasure with him and telling him he's now on my shit list and he better call me back......well....it's 10:15pm....and NO PHONE CALL!!! Seriosuly this is such utter bull shitt, I'm litterally sick to my stomach.......anyway....I hope everyone else's Sat's were better than the start to mine......what a going away present huh?

Well......on an exciting note, I just finished IM's an old friend of mine from my past.....Chris Toon.....I've known him since 1st grade....we used to play at his house, take apart old VCR's (ya I was a dork), play in band together (him on sax, me on flute...yay 6th grade band), made club houses, flew kites, played with his dog lancy....and then in 7th grade his adopted parents split....so him and his Mom moved to Florida where her parents lived....he hasn't been back to CA since then.....so I found out tonight that he's coming to CA this coming Wed night and will be in the state for one week!! He's visiting him biological mom and half bro who live in Santa Cruz.....he'll have a car to use so one of the days he's gonna come to SF to visit with me!! It'll be weird....but a good weird....because so much time has passed since we've seen eachother......we were innocent kids in Jr high and now we're all grown up, craziness!! Anyway....more on that later....just wanted to throw something good in.

New Location...

Sorry that there's been such HUGE gaps in between my posts bloggers.....life has been pretty busy for this gal. Between ending my last quarter at De Anza (acheiving my AA in Liberal Studies), celebrating my 1 year anniversary with Paul :), last days at Mervyns (thank goodness....never again will I enter the clothing retail business, I'll stick to books), last day at De Anza bookstore tomorrow (i know, last day for real this time), Paul's b-day coming up on friday, saying good bye (for awhile, not forever) to my dearest and closest friends Sat. and finally......moving day on monday August 1st. Definately have a range of emotions going on inside me as the BIG move gets closer.......I'm excited to FINALLY be out on my own, but nervous at the same time.......well I had to grow up sometime....couldn't live in Never Never Land forever......nervous also cause its a new place.....I've lived in the Sunnyvale/Cupertino part of the Bay Area my whole life! Moving to SF is a big step for me (though it may not seem like a huge change to some, it is for me). So everyone do e a favor and shoot some encouraging vibes my way as I move up to the city and settle into a new life. And of course I'll miss my friends, but this just means they have another reason to visit the city :) Most of all I will miss my love, Paul. It'll be weird not having him at a 15/20 min drive away......now it'll be 45/1 hour drive to come see me.....but I'm hoping he'll come and visit me as much as humanly possible and of course I'll come home for the holidays to spend with his fam (when I can't make it to Oregon to see my parents) and to see him in his many shows (including "Oklahoma" with SDG coming up in Sept-October).

And my parents are coming on as well.....they'll be relocating themselves to Grants Pass, Oregon as soon as I'm moved to SF and have found a house to rent.

Well....seeing as how its getting late and I have early work, I better get to bed. More of an update and pics from my new apartment soon!! I'll give ya the before and after....finally I can make a rooom truly mine!! Later!!

One Year Anniversary :)

Wow....life's been kinda crazy around here for your's truly. End of June was crazy! I finished with finals and graduated from DeAnza!!! Whoo hoo!! So I have an AA degree in Liberal Studies :) very nice! But what I want to share in this particular blog is my One Year Anniversary I celebrated the other weekend with Paul :D June 26th, was our One year Anniversary :) Though it feels like we've been together for longer than that (in a good way, the best way)! To celebrate we took a trip to Carmel for the day. Here are some pics from that trip :)

Here's Carmel beach....Even though it was kinda overcast, it was still nice to take a walk on the beach....and very sweet :)

After walking around Carmel, looking in on the cute town shops, and having lunch (f.y.i. avoid a restaurant called "Nico's".....decent food, but BAD service)

From Carmel we drove back to Capitola to check into our hotel for the night. We stayed at the Capitola Inn. For this type of Inn they didn't have numbers for their rooms, thay had names. So Paul and I stayed in the "Aruba" room.

After we checked in, we had dinner at Margarita Ville Restaurant. Great service, great food and great margarita's!!!

After a night in Capitola, we headed back to Paul's house and just relaxed for the remainder of the day. It was definately a wonderful way to celebrate our One year Anniversary :) What can I say; I'm definately in love :) I hope everyone finds their perfect match.....cause I know I already foud mine, and I'm very thankful for him :) I love you Paul.

Sorry everyone that it took me this long to make a new post and put up the pictures from my weekend in Davis. With classes finishing up and finals just around the corner, and work (lots of it), life has been very crazy and busy for this Astropoet. As promised here are the pics from my fun and awesome weekend in Davis!

Before the game started my sister happened to glance over in a near-by section of the stadium and see a group of people cheering for me!! Haha, I wish.....one of the players on the Monarch's team is named Nicole....still funny though.

Weekend in Davis...

Hey to all!! Not much going on in this poet's life.....bout 3 more weeks of the quarter, then Graduation (which I won't be attending, but have dinner with the fam(Paul included) instead).....One year Anniversary with Paul the next day :) Very excited. But for now I shall be off to Davis for the weekend to see the Sacramento Monarchs play their opening season game (Women's Basketball)!! Been awhile since I've been to a game (women's basketball in general), so I am super stoked!!! Plus, since I'll be in Davis I get to see my Sexy Bitch Becky as well!! Since my big sis has to work tomorrow night, Becky and I are gonna hit the town (what town there is in Davis)....yay lesbian sex..I mean....ummm....ahh shitt, sorry bitch, I said too much...again! ;) Hahaha, anyway...inside jokes, ya gotta love 'um. Karaoke Night...

This past Sat night was a blast!!! Paul, Chenoah, Heidi, Zac, Becca, Kevin and I went to Almaden Lounge for a good ol' night of Karaoke! We all met up around 10pm and didn't leave till about 1:30am. Here's some pics and a re-cap of that evening...

Paul started the evening off by singing his usual "Wanted Dead or Alive" by Bon Jovi

A little bit later I decided to step up to the plate and show everyone what I can do....I sang "Hero" by Mariah Carey...

After a couple beers, Zack decided to join in and add a little country into the mix....he sang "Two of a Kind"...I forget who sings it....but it wasn't bad for a non-carney...

I had to post this pic.....don't know the man's name, but he's amazing! This man has no arms and no legs, yet busted out rappin' to Snoop....on top of that the man is a regular at "Almaden Lounge" and plays pool!! Stop by some time and check him out...

Though I didn't get any pics of it Paul sang 3 more songs....."Hard to Handle" by Black Crows (which he sang to me), then accompanied by myself, Chenoah, Becca, and Zac, we all sang "Summer Nights" from Grease....I know...such a carny thing to do, but it was fun!

The last song was "Smooth" by Santana....Chenoah and Becca pulled me off my chair and gently pushed me to get up and dance with Paul while he sang...

Once Becca arrived at the bar, she got up and sang "Black Velvet" (I forget who the artist is)....Becca has an amazing voice! There was a group of girls off to the left (who sang earlier, but not well) who seemed to seethe with jealousy....go Becca!

For the last part of the evening, I sang "You Oughta Know" by Alanis Morsette....a tribute to my Sexy Bitch Becky :) We left right after that cause during my song the other guys at the bar were starting to get outta control....one older, drunken man started getting a little to close to me...thank god for my protective Paul :) He came up on "stage" with me and sat in a chair right next to me, making his presence known...thank god the guy backed off...I would have hated it if it had to resort to a fist fight....how I do love that man :)

Checking In...

Not a whole lot going on right now.....just wanted to check in and let everyone know I am alive and well......about half way into the quarter now.....Graduation is one month away...though I won't be walking in the ceremony, I still get my degree none the less....prob gonna have a little dinner celebration with immediate family (Paul included).....I'll wait till I graduate with a BA degree to go through the grad ceremony.....silly robe, hat and long ceremony and all....but for an AA? Not so much...

Life in general is still as great as ever.....Paul is wonderful as always....Dad's still in Ohio and will be back around mid-late June......tomorrow is 11 months for Paul and I :D....time sure does fly when you're happy and in love. Well...that's about it for me....oh! Possible Karaoke Night with theatre friends and Paul this Sat night at Almaden Lounge...good times there! Well, that's it for me.....Later!

Apparently the two got to talking sports and Bruce ended up buying Brandon a couple shots of Grey Goose.....I thought the women were supposed to go to the bar to pick up the rich men ;) Anyway....now that Brandon was already well on his way to being drunk we headed over to Stratta for dinner....

After dinner, which Paul and I had the best Fillet Minon ever, we walked down the street to Fahrenheit, a kind of cocktail bar. Had a lot of fun there...

Amazing Weekend: Part I

So Paul had been telling me about the festivities for this past Sat. night for the past couple weeks or so. His Auzzie friend Jamie was going to be in town from a surfing trip and wanted to party it up with Paul, myself, and his old San Diego buddies. Jamie was going to reserve a suite room at the Fairmont hotel for the night, we were all going to get dressed up (total chique style), go out to dinner at Stratta (really nice restaurant), then hit up a fancy bar to top off the evening then crash at the Fairmont. So when Paul came and picked me up around 3:30pm Sat. 14th to go to the Fairmont, I was kinda nervous to meet Jamie and Paul's SD friends cause I wanted them to like me and fit in for the evening. Little did I know.....

Our room at the Fairmont was on the 17th floor, so before we went up Paul called Jamie to let him know we were here. We took the elevator, then headed to our room #1711. Paul put in the card, opened the door and suddenly I hear my Sexy Bitch Becky's squeal and she comes flying past Paul and envelopes me in a huge ass hug!!! I squealed back and hugged her in return. I could not believe it!!!! All the stories that Paul had been feeding me about his buddie Jamie (who is real) being in town were total lies!!! I couldn't believe it!!! I was in such a state of shock that it was Becky and her boyfriend Brandon in the hotel room and not a crazy, fun luvin' auzzie. Paul had me completely fooled and utterly suprised and full of a pure state of joy for doing all this for me!! Apparently he ahd been planning this entire weekend for the past 6 months.......All I have to say is, "I LOVE YOU PAUL!" Seriously bloggers.....no man has ever gone to such trouble before to make me happy and to put a genuine smile on my face. I knew Paul was a winner before....but this weekend just affirmed what I already knew. I didn't know whether to laugh, smile, cry, or continue to sqeal with joy! Paul and Becky (and Brandon for bringing Becky) definately deserve HUGE "THANK YOU's" and lots of Luvin' ;) I'll post pics and details of the weekend tomorrow, but I just wanted to get a post in on what a wonderful, memorable weekend I just had. My two favorite people in my life definately made my 21st birthday the best one I've ever had.....and one of my most joyful moments in my life. Good night everyone...I hope you all have a loved one in your life and a best friend like I do, caue if ya do then life must be as great for you as it is for me :)

Animal Kingdom...

The animal world can be such a beautiful thing as well as tragic......Here's what I mean...

I witnessed this attack on monday...

I first I thought it was a female and that the ducks were trying to mate with her.....it wasn't until I saw the head of the duck that I realized it was a male duck under the others....not sure what the fight was over but these 4 ducks were beating the crap out of this one duck....pulling the feathers out of his head....I coudln't just let it happen so I stepped in, shoed the others away with my foot and used myself as a blackade between the bullies and the victim. I knew I couldn't heal the hurt duck, but I at least scared off the ducks so the hurt one could have a fighting chance......what a world...poor thing :(

Henrietta and Harold had a family of 9 baby ducklings...soo cute!! All bundled together for a family nap :)

B-Day Party!

Wow!! What a Fantastic way to spend my 21st Birthday!!! It was a very nice change from my previous birthdays.....my 19th was spent having coffee at Starbucks with Laura (which was nice, cause Starbucks with Laura always rocks), then visiting my friend Ally at Hot Stuff...I was home by 10pm (on a Saturday night!) Ya, that's right...there was no man in that equation...cause he broke up with me the week before...LAME! Last year for my 20th, Keith (boyfriend at the time) took me out to dinner at Chilli's with his best friend, Marcus, and his old girlfriend (there were still friends) who brought her 7 year old cousin! After dinner we went miniature golfing, which would have been fun except he was flirting with his ex all night!!

But that was the past....this year was Wonderful!! Mom, Paul, my sis Charissa, Tina, Joe and Jenny Goulart (old family friend) and Jenny's boyfriend, Rodney. A cozy party of 8 :) We had dinner at The Elephant Bar, fantastic food! I had BBQ Tri Tip Sirloin Ribs. Mmmmmmm!!! I started my night with a Grey Goose Cosmo, a good beginning. Below is My Complete Drinking List:

1) Grey Goose Cosmo
2) Four Horsemen (consisted of JD, Jose, Johnny Walker, Jim Beam)
3) Kamikaze
4) Red-Headed Slut and her Friendly midget
5) Chocolate Birthday Cake (not sure what was in it, but there was a shot glass of alcohol and a shot glass of whipped cream w/ strawberry sauce and a candle on top. I had to down the shot of alcohol, blow out the candle then lick some of the whipped cream....in other words....I had to Suck, Blow and Lick ;)

8) Orgasm in my Mouth (bartender's secret)

I got a lot of really nice presents too.....The Emerald Ring I wear now that I got back in March was my early B-day present from my Mom as well as the accessories for my digital camera. My Sis got me an otter shot glass (I love otters!) and she knit me a baby blue scarf. Jenny and Rodney bought me a "Complete Bartenders Guide" book. Tina and Joe gave me a $50 gift card to Bed Bath & Beyond to help furnish my new apartment. My friend Stef had the same idea and got me a $20 gift card to Linen N'Things. Paul's parents bought me these really cute salt&pepper shakers shaped like chicks (baby chicks not female chicks).

Soooo cute!!!

But the best gift of all came from Paul. He bought me a amethyst pendant with Celtic knots necklace :) Here's a pic of it :)

New Apartment!!!

New Apartment!!!

That's right!! I got a good apartment lined up in SF :) It's in the Villas Park Mercede, which is right acroos from campus (quite literally a 5 minute walk to school)!! It's a 2-bedroom, One-bathroom, two level townhouse apartment. The living room,dining room and kitchen is downstairs, and the bedrooms and bathroom is upstairs. Amanda and Libby will share the Mast bedroom while I will have my own room...very nice :) (for many reasons...teehee) I got to meet Amanda and Libby.....2 very nice girls....Amanda is 20 yrs old and Libby is 18 yrs old. Libby is also short just like me....she'll 4'11". Right away I got a common bond with her. The apartment itself is very nice and we're getting it for a good deal too. Here is what the apartment looks like (or will....imagine different furniture in it) and a pic of Amanda, Libby and I.

This will be my room.....minus the office furniture and my furniture in its place of course :)

It's that time again!! I slacked the other day on the "Official B-Day Count Down", but it's been crazy the past two days.....worked 8 hours (2 to 11pm) Wed...had yesterday off....slept in to catch up on sleep and energy, woke up to go to my afternoon class....walked over to DeAnza to find out class was canceled, so I did errands instead.....worked another 8 hours again today.....I'm plumb tuckered out! She's a yellow lab/golden retreiver mix and is 9 weeks old....awwww :) Here's a pic of my sis and her "new addition".

No name for the pup yet....sis wants to get a feel for the character of the lil one before they name it. And I get to play with the puppy when I go to Davis for the basketball game in June...teehee yay!!! Well that's it for now. Coming along...

Not much new in the life of this poet......things seem to be coming along as far as SF is concerned...gonna possibly take a trip to SF next weekend to meet the future roommates and check out an apartment complex. The girls are going to make some more appointments to check out a few more apartment complexes....so we'll see what happens there.......Graduation for me is coming soon.....getting the paper work for that done and gonna see the counselor next week to petition to graduate along with getting my AA degree......so things are looking up for this gal.....plus on the B-Day countdown: 11 DAYS LEFT TILL I'M 21!!! (so that means only 10 shopping days left...teehee j/k.....all I need is good food and good alcohol and I'll be good to go :) Things with Paul are wonderful.....10 months and still going strong....woman in love and will be always :) School is going well.....going into week 4 i believe....so ya...well that's all for now.....got Jenn's baby shower this Sat, yay!! I'll finally get to see my Roper buddy!! Well....off to get some food before my stomach starts to yell at me...so later!!

This past Christmas, Paul condo sat for my friend's girlfriend. Michael and Diane. This is Pogo, her cat. Very cute and definately good for cuddling!

Here's an even cuter cat. My Thunder, rest her soul. I miss her!! She was a definite comfort to me during my adolescent years.

You all know my love for ducks...well I couldn't resist taking a pic of these 2 cute ducklings with their mom.....they're little fluff balls...sooo cute!!

So I finally got off my lazy butt and learned how to use my mom's scanner....so even though a bunch of these were like months ago, I still wanna share them all with you!!

Real Quick...

I hate inconsiderate people.......it's just about midnight....what idiot thinks its ok to sit in your car (parked right outside someone's, aka my, apartment window), have your stereo turned just about all the way up so that the person in the apartment can hear what your listening to when they are trying to go to sleep?? ESPECIALLY when that someone has to wake up at 6am to go to work at 8am?? Grrrr!!! Some people have the nerve!!! If he hadn't gotten out of his car 2 secs later after I opened my curtain, blinds and window to hear where the source of the noise was coming from, I woulda cursed him out for being such a dick!! With that said and done and off my chest....I'm gonna go try and catch some ZZZ's before an eight hour work day....yeeehaw :P At least I get to see my man after work, see his production of "Who Wants to be a Dream Date Idol Survivor?" yet again, party with him afterwards, spend the night and spend all day sunday with him :) Well, bed keeps callin' my name so Night all!

It's nice to have a day off.....just wish the weather was nice enough to have spent the day, lounging by the pool, enjoying the sunshine and working on my Poli exam......but the weather didn't want to coincide with my plans so I stayed in doors instead.......I was able to scan and put my new pics on a CD.....but ripway is being dumb and taking FOREVER to upload my pics so I'll try again tomorrow.....so stay tuned for old pics from "Annie Get Your Gun" performance, Becky's 21st celebration, some cute ducklings, and Smokey Joe's Cafe......good times all around......well, I'm off to the sauna for a little R&R.....might be joined by my man later tonight, but that depends on how tired he is after his show and what the weather is like....for now....I'm off for a little, me, myself and I time! Grrrrr.......

Just wanted to take a sec to vent about work before I went to bed.......I hate customers who ask for excessive help (i.e certain types of clothing, colors, what looks good, what size best fits, etc.) for like half an hour or more then don't buy a damn thing!!!!!!! Argh!!!!!! And you thought women were bad when it comes to trying on clothes?? Nope!! Guys can be just as bad.....I also love the customers who take ten billion items of clothes with them (when their only allowed 6), buy only 2 of them and leave the rest all ballled up in the dressing room......Grrrr!!!!! So tonight, on top of helping the gentleman who bought NOTHING! I had a shit load of clothes to fold, hang and put back, which I maybe only got half of it back onto the sales floor, while the rest of the Men's Dept. looked liked shit because I didn't get a chance to recover and detail! *sigh* very frustrating evening.........and I get to do it all over again tomorrow.......for 8 hours!!!......I gotta keep telling myself, "It's money" and I can cope with another day......I look forward to the day where I will actually have a job doing what I love to do.....teaching college students creative writing.......sure could use a cuddle and strong arms of comfort as I fell asleep after an evening like this......someday......anyway, gonna go find some comfort in milk and cookies before I go to bed....busy day tomorrow.....Later!

Adventure Ahead...but first some thoughts...

I just wanted to take a moment to thank a certain special someone for being my rock this past week (and many a time before that)....

Paul:
Thank you for being my rock yet again....you're undying support does not go unnoticied or unappreciated. You managed to provide me with comfort, love, and logic to enable me to take the next step....you helped dust me off and get me back on my feet. I am truly lucky to have you in my life. You gave me the push I needed to attack a situation which seemed almost hopeless. You are my best friend, my rock, my love and my future. I love you.

As for the adventure ahead.....tomorrow I shall be visiting SFSU for the first time! Exciting!! It's Sneak Preview Day so the folks and I shall be taking the tour, looking around the city and hopefully follow up some leads on possible apartments. My mom shall be the photo taker (per usual), so I'll make sure to get those pics from her and I shall post them sunday. Tomorrow night is closing for Smokey Joe's (LAST CHANCE).....then Striking the set sunday, then final cast party at Paul's (Fun times!). Anyway, full day tomorrow...gotta get some rest...later!

SPRING BREAK!!

Spring Break is officially here!! I turned in my last essays on wed the 23rd and a HUGE weight of stress was lifted right off my shoulders...started off my vacation by catching up with my good friend Stef.....drinking coffee and eating some chinese food...then to top off my day (and my first night of spring break) I spent the evening with my Lennan, eating dinner and watching The Incredibles (cute movie)....it was nice to relax and spend some quality cuddle time with him...between school for me and reherals/shows for him it had been awhile since we spent time alone together....thankfully our school schedules are in sync and we are both on spring break this week :)

Here's a run down of my week:

Thusday, 24th:
I spent the early morning with Paul (I had spent the night at his house after watching movies. Then the rest of the day was spent with my Sexy Bitch Becky, home on spring break!! We shopped 'till we dropped at Mervyn's (yay employee discounts) then to Target; we be bargain shoppers....hey, when you're a poor college student ya go for the bargain, NOT the brand name. Once we found some cute tops and a new short jean skirt for me ;) we headed off to Century 26 (Shoreline) to see Miss Congeniality 2...yay for Chick Flicks with my Sexy Bitch!! "Officer Down....Get me a Tampon!!!" - Sandra Bullock. Funny movie, I highly recommend seeing it (if ya like chick flicks that is). Unfortunately, after the movie I had to go to work :P but hey, it's money!!

Friday, 25th:
SEXY BITCH BECKY'S 21st BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIRL!!! Didn't get to see her on her birthday cause I had to work then off to Saratoga Theatre for yet another great performance of Smokey Joe's Cafe (For those of you who have yet to see the show, get your bootie to the theatre, only 2 more weekends!! Go to www.wvlo.org for details!!) The cast did a great job and a few friends came to see the show (Matt and Liana), very cool and we all went to Jakes afterwards.

Sat., 26th:
Work, Work, Work....then off to the theatre for another performance....this one got a STANDING OVATION from the crowd :) GREAT JOB!! And of course the light looked good :) Met Becky's man, Brandon...very cool guy...makes my girl happy so I approve.....but we all know what will happen to the man if he hurts her.....severe butt kicking. After the show, Paul, Brandon, Becky and I went to The King's Head in Campbell...good times, except for crazy, older, drunken asians.....who tried to hit on Becky and I when Paul and Brandon went to the bar...ewwwwww :P Good times....I had to be a good girl and steer clear of the alcohol....but the rest of the group threw back a few for good measure......man I can't wait till I'm 21....

Sunday, 27th:
Happy Easter!!! Spent the day with Paul (what can I say, I love spending time with my man :) and my family. Drove to Moroga to celebrate Easter with my family: Aunt Laura, Uncle Chuck, Jon, Vanessa, Charissa, Ruben, Mom and Dad, Dallas (Vanessa's man), and Nana (Mom's Mom). We made a cozy 12. Lunch/Dinner was good!! Ham, Yams with marshmellows, pasta salad, regular salad, rolls...good eating!! Paul and I left early evening to out next destination: BJ's Restaurant to celebrate Becky's 21 B-day! Great times there!! By a stroke of luck, the servers didn't card so I got to join in the festivities :) Don't worry, I didn't go too hard core...after all I had to drive Paul and I home. Here's my drinking list:
1) Strawberry Daquirii
2) Ultimate Cosmopolitan
3) Irish Car Bomb

The Irish Car Bomb got me going on a pretty good buzz for the evening till it was time to go home which I was sober by then. The rest of the group kept going; especially Becky ;) Hey, I hope to do up my 21st B-day in a similar fashion if not better :)

Monday, 28th:
Spent a lazy day with Paul....woke up relatively earlier....cuddled in bed...grabbed some breakfast....then took a nap together (I love sleeping in his arms)....woke up, then hung out at his house for a bit till it was time for me to hang out with my lil sis Laura. We grabbed some grub (China Shuttle; I LOVE Sesame Seed Chicken), then went to our usual Starbucks, grabbed some coffee, then off to DeAnza Park (our old stompin ground)....it was a little cold out and a few shady characters were about so we just hung out in her car and chit chatted....usually we play on the swings or sit in our boat...but with peeps walkin around...we decided to play it safe. Good times were had. I missed my girl friends...I love spending time with Paul....but it's nice to have a "Girl's Night Out" every now and then. :)

Tuesday, 29th:
Lazy Day at home for me.....rested and relaxed...did my taxes.....worked in the evening...then went to bed.....not a very exciting day...but it feels good to relax every now and then....

Wed., 30th:
Went to an semi-early doctor appointment...came home...packed my overnight bag and waited for Paul to come pick me up to spend yet another day with him :) Went to a really cool restaurent in Almaden Valley (restaurant where Paul and I first went before we became a couple)....had breakfast...mmmm...strawberry crepes with whip cream....mmmmm....then went for a walk over at Almaden Lake. Very pretty day to be out doors......and yes (for Paul's sake) he beat me at a foot race.....it's now proven that Paul is faster then I am...but he has a longer reach so ya ;) teehee.....went back to his house, took a nap, then went shopping for some food and drinks before the Smokey Joe's cast (younger crowd)came over for some good ol' fashioned fun....watching movies, eating food, laughin' and chattin'. We watched Family Guy episodes and the first half of The Anchor Man...it was an ok movie...but I'm not a big fan of Will Ferrell so...ya...anyway...cast stayed 'till bout 1am...good times all around :)

Thursday, 31st:
Woke up...cuddled in bed with Paul...went to Jamba Juice for breakfast...yay Caribbean Passion and apple/cinnamon pretzel :) Paul dropped me off at home...then I met up with Adam for lunch....good times there....though the poor guy is going through a lot at the moment....hopefully everything will turn out ok for him....came home, napped, woke up and here I am...sitting in front of my computer...writing this blog :) Well, that's it for now blogger fans...I gotta get me some sleep...updates to come and pictures from Becky's 21st as well. Happy Anniversary...

Just wanted to post that today it'll be 9 months that Paul and I have gone out. Happy Anniversary my love. He makes me smile, laugh, feel loved and cherrished, and just an over all happy feeling that I've never felt before with a guy. This girl is definately head over heels in love with this one :)

Huge sigh of relief! Just finished my last and final essay for my winter quarter classes. Man that took foreeever!!! Now all I gotta do is get up in the morning (real morning), print em out and drop them off......then spring vacation here I come!! Thankfully, Lennan has spring break the same week that I do so if the weather permits we may be hittin' up Santa Cruz for some relaxation. Well, it's super late and I NEED sleep!! Theatre Update...

Things have been so crazy filled with school, finals and midterms that I completely forgot to mention that yours truly is running light board for Smokey Joe's Cafe, yet another WVLO show. Paul is onstage singing, dancing and acting per usual along with many familar and talented faces: Jerry Rosas (7 Brides), Geri Sauls (Merrily We Roll Along), Niki Aquino (Big River), Adam Berry (newcomer to WVLO), Isai Centeno (Chorus Line), Scott Kowaleski (another new comer to WVLO), Diane Milo (Taffetta's), Lizzie O'Hara (new comer to WVLO), Molly Carter (Joseph....Dreamcoat), and Jay Steele (Annie Get Your Gun, South Pacific). Opening was last weekend. Fantastic, raving review's all around!! Very well done performance sunday...things were a little iffy last night (friday evening performance), but that wasn't do to the cast. Technical difficulties due to Microphone malfunctions, but the cast pulled through and came out on top. Spectacular performance this evening and I predict another sucessful sunday matinee!

Lennan and I made a quick appearance at the Tipton's post St. Patrick's Day party.....saw familar faces that I hadn't seen in awhile, which was very cool. Thankfully an awful cold that hit my poor Lennan is finally departing....after not seeing him all week, then not being able to kiss him last night(he didn't want me to catch what he had), definate struggle for us both...but it definately made his kisses sweeter today :) I truly am in love here folks....I've fallen and I've fallen hard.....and I love every minute of it :)

Well....off to bed I go....lots to do before the matinee tomorrow....got some papers, projects under my belt but still more to go :P Will report again after Wed. Later!

Crunch Time!!

Well, it's that time in the quarter, last week of classes and finals next week......very stressed out woman over here.....way too much to do and very little time to do it in....and on top of that, dealing with past demons doesn't quite help.....well....just wanted to let ya'll know I'm alive and well (relatively speaking)....I'll be able to breathe easier after March 23....especially since my two best friends (girls that is), are coming home for spring break.....been awhile since the Sexy Bitches have partied it up (New Years I believe). And the last time I saw my Lil' Sis was X-mas...highly unacceptable, but that shall change in 2 weeks. Yay!!! Sunny Days...

My last post wasn't very chipper and didn't come out quite right......but I'm sure you've all had those moments and feel foolish for feeling that way after....well, that's the way it turned out for me.....I woke up this morning, feeling foolish about it, hoping it would not hurt the one man I love....but it did....and what does he do? He plays hookie from class and work to spend the afternoon with me before we had to go to rehersal at 7pm. Between with how busy we've both been and tired he's been (and rightly so, with work, rehersals, school and auditions, you would be too), we both needed a day of relaxing and spending time together.....that man never ceases to amaze me....it really made my day and meant a lot to me that he played hookie to spend time with me. We grabbed lunch at The Sandwich Mill and headed over to Almaden Meadows Park for a picnic lunch, and enjoy the warm, sunny day we had today. Afterwards, we layed out on a blanket till it got a little to hot outside with the sun beating down, so we headed back to his house, took a little nap, had dinner then headed off to rehersal.

Paul: Thank you for a wonderful, relaxing day. You mean the world to me. I am so incredibly and deeply in love with you. I look forward to our bright future together. Thank you for loving me even though I can get a little nuts. You have are my heart, my rock, and my best friend.

Insecurities

Insecurities...

Everyone has insecurities about themselves.....mine are my looks which lead to an over all insecurity about myself, which makes me wonder what guys find attractive about me......Everyone has their good and their bad days.....over all I consider myself to be a "plain Jane"...not ugly, but nothing spectacular either.....I know there are more attractive women out there with great personalities.....I know I may accomplish a lot in life...but right now I feel like I'm kinda coasting.....nothing to show for myself......while it seems like everyone else I know has accomplished so much......I was watching the cast rehearse on stage tonight, feeling a twinge of jealousy.....even though acting, singing or dancing isn't my main profession, I feel like I come up short compared to some.....I wish I was more graceful, had the confidence to audition, had a beautiful singing voice.....I know my passion lies else-where; writing, but how attractive of a profession is that? Sitting in front of a computer, writing a latest poem or working on a book, wearing comfy clothes (of the unattractive kind) or dancing on a stage with seduction and/or grace, swooning a crowd (and my love interst) with a beautiful song, wearing a gorgeous, sexy dress? Men which would you choose? The dancer I'm sure.

These insecurities make me wonder why guys (one in particular) don't look elsewhere, or want someone more deserving of them then me......don't be mistaken by my blog....I'm not doubting my relationship or my man.....the doubt lies completely in myself; my self esteem and confidence issue.......I know I'm kinda rambling, not making much sense......but that's how I felt tonight...I don't know why.....but I just do....and hey, it's my blog and I can do what I want.....

Bitten in the Ass...

Wow...never thought that an incident (almost one year ago) would come back and bite me in the ass in more ways than one. Well, for those of you who didn't know (can't remember if I ever mentioned it in a previous post or not), I was in a car accident last June. I'm ok (few bad cuts on the arm, but they've healed), but since then I've been without a car or the insurance to drive my parents car.....my feet have been my main "mode of transportation".....and that hasn't really bothered me much.....then I get a certain phone call......my usual family I babysit for decided to stay with their old babysitter because she a) lives closer and b) has a car so she can drive herself to and from their house. They told me that once I get a car, they would love to have me back in their regular babysitting schedule......unfortunate for me I won't be getting a car anytime soon....besides, I shall be leaving for SF in August......I don't know why it's bothering me so much.....I love babysitting for Hannah, Ben and Andrew....I shall miss them.....man I need a car....

It's here, it's here!! My new, gorgeous, emerald, diamond ring in gold setting is here!! I just picked up up after he jeweler had it for re-sizing :) Though I don't officially get it until St. Patty's Day, but I am still excited non-the-less :) Teehee!! Here's a couple of pics of it!

Day Off...

Yay for Days off.....It was another wonderful weekend! I spent a great portion of it with Lennan :) Hung out and watched LOTR Return of the King; extended version. Had to finish up from the other weekend movie marathon :) Sat night, after fighting off yet another migraine, Lennan and I went and saw a ton of our friends in "South Pacific" put on by Saratoga Drama Group (SDG). Fantastic job by all!! I thoroughly enjoyed myself watching my friends on stage once again. It makes me miss being on stage *sigh*...but I am excited to be back in the light booth for yet another production put on by WVLO. Smokey Joe's Cafe opens March 12, 2005. I shall be working the light board while my man is yet again dancin', singin' and actin' on stage. How I love to hear that man sing :) Go to:

"It's mine....my precious" - Gollum (LOTR Two Towers)

I am mondo excited!!! In about 2/3 months I shall be 21 year old!! Bring on the alcohol!! But besides that....my mom rocks my socks!! She is paying a great majority of a $99 emerald and diamond ring for me for a b-day present :) I bought it today at work and sent it to the jeweler for re-sizing (what can I say, I have small fingers). The stone is real emerald, oval shaped with small diamonds(real) on each side....kinda a triangle shape with the point away from the stone. Below...look at figure "A", but image a pure emerald stone where the "Mystic Fire" stone is.

Once I get my ring I shall take a picture of it and post it on my sight.

I hope everyone else's Valentine's Day was as wonderful as mine. I really do have a wonderful boyfriend :) Though he had rehersal tonight, we still found a way to spend time together today. That man spoils me so :) We bought eachother similar celtic know pendants a week ago, then he makes me a very special letter, aging the parchment and giving it a LOTR quality to it, and a little something extra today (classified info). I am truly lucky to have him :) Looking forward to spending some R&R time with Lennan as well (we still have the last LOTR triligy to finish).

A sad note to the day however :( My Great Aunt Robin passed away today. I don't think I ever met her, but she was my Grandma's last living sibling, so I feel sad for her. Losing a family member, whether you knew them well or not at all, is still sad. Say a few prayers for my family, I would appreciate it. :)

Wow! What a world we live in today.....7 years ago (1998) a teacher at Homestead High School was arrested and sent to jail for having sexual relations with a female student, 16 years of age. Just yesterday, Tuesday Feb 8, a choir/band teacher was arrested for having a 2 month sexual relationship with a 16 year old female student. For those of you who are fellow alumni of Homestead High School...let me just say, I'm pretty embarrassed to admit I went to HHS (not sure bout the rest of you...).

The world has definately gone down hill when a man has to resort to having sex with minors (9 years younger no less) despite the fact that they're engaged to a beautiful woman....I mean, what the hell? I can't even wrap my mind around the concept or even what might have made the man do what he did.....it makes me sick...it really does....

One things for sure.....I'm at least grateful I have found a decent, honest and faithful man among all the "bad seeds" out there.....

Wonderful Weekend...

Don't you just love the kind of weekends that involve staying in doors, curled up with the one you love, watching a good movie? I know I do :) Had a fantastic weekend with my Lennan, relaxing, chillin' in doors watching LOTR extended version of I & II. This poet definately needed a little R&R after a week of non stop migraines. Spending time with Lennan is always a major plus in my life...what can I say...the man keeps me happy and sane :)

As for my migraines.....went to the doctor this afternoon....not sure what the actual "cause" of my migraines are, but at least I now have some meds to at least help decrease the pain....I go see my doctor again in 3 weeks, so we shall see if anything further must be done....

For now I must retire to bed..the light from the computer is starting to hurt me eyes and cause my headache to come back.....check ya later all!!

Hours turn into Days...

Hey! Sorry for the slacking on updated posts....life has been keeping this poet pretty busy...speaking of which....I have a new poet, but its still a work in progress.....stay tuned and I shall post it once it is done...

For now, I must make this short (like me ;), teehee)....migrains (sp?) suck.....first time in my entire life I get headaches this bad and it just doesn't want to leave....Grrrr!!! Gotta keep an eye on that...may have to see the doctor if it persists....headaches and naeusia can really make a good day suck! Workin' two jobs...back in the dungeon of the bookstore..though it's not bad since it's not my main job or sorce of income...it's a nice addition to Mervyn's.....double income ain't bad either :) Extra good vibes to my Lennan....he's got a lot going on and a lot on his plate.....he's got a great heart...one of the many things I love about him :) I look forward to a totallt relaxing evening of LOTR movie marathon (extended versions), popcorn (with ice cream for me), and a good (and much deserved for the both of us) cuddle. Rainy but Bright

Rainy but Bright...

A storm may be making its way to the Bay Area, but my mood is the exact opposite :) Good mood all around.....babysit my favorite kids last night....the youngest, Andrew (almost 2 years old), is soooo adorable!! I need to get a mor recent pic then last April, then I will post it so you can all see how cute he is! Walking up a storm.....I'm now officially totally out numbered...at least for awhile Hannah (now 7) and Ben (now 5) were the only mobile children....that I could handle...but three....definately kept me on my toes last night....according to Holly (their Mother), I am a major softy....I held Andrew and sang him to sleep after my first attempt at putting him to bed and him crying...appaently she lets him cry till he falls asleep.....not me though....when I'm married and have kids, I will rock my children to sleep, singing the song my Mom made up that she used to sing to me.....A softy through and through.....I'll post pics of Hannah and Ben too....they're my original kids whom I started to babysit about 2-3 years ago...with half a year break in between...

Life in general is going great....nice to know I'm on track to transfer for F05 :) Miner details to take care of with each school...but I'm in great shape thus far so I'm happy.....I even have less GE courses left to take than I originally thought, yay!!

Today is the 7th month mark for Lennan and I :) Wow, how time fly's!! He makes me very happy :) I am definately lucky he waited for me to be ready 7 months ago...he knows what I'm talking about. I love you Lennan!

One great weekend after another....(despite a little upset with the folks the other weekend...). Went up to Bear Valley with Matt, Karen, Jason, Melissa and Paul...had a fantastic time!!! What more could ya ask for: Cabin in the snow, sledding (or what we could), good friends, alcohol, great food, my loving boyfriend....definately a weekend to remember...once I get the pics from Lennan I will post 'um up and you can see the kinda fun we had ;) teehee j/k.

NEW COMPUTER!!!

Yup, yours truly received a Dell laptop PC yesterday afternoon!!! My Dad surprised me by buying it for me....big deal in my case....normally I would expect my Dad to tell me to buy it myself....so this is a BIG treat for me!! Also, this is my first BRAND NEW computer! Growing up I always got the hand-me-downs....whether it was my Mom's old computer or my sister's old computer...so yay!!!! Hopefully the next time I enter a new blog entry it will be from my Dell laptop!! Don't worry, I'll let ya know....Dad's teaching me how to set it up and download programs for virus scanners, Microsoft programs and such...a work in progress but I hope to have it finished tonight :) Well, off to go help out the bookstore and work for a couple of hours (I could use the extra money).....oh! I almost forgot....I shall be in Bear Valley with my Lennan, and a small group of friends at Matt's parents cabin....a snowy get-away for my man and I :) I love playing in the snow....but I am being taken for granted on my snowball fighting ability.....Though I didn't grow up in the snow, doesn't mean I don't know how to throw a mean snowball or two ;) Never doubt a person by their size....we're a lot spunkier than you think ;) Later!

A Night Out on the Town...

Last night was truly AMAZING!! After getting over my cold (finally), I dolled myself up to be presentable "arm candy" for my dashing, handsome man. Before we saw "Chicago" Paul and I had dinner at a very fancy sea food restaurant called "Scott's"......I highly reccomend the grilled Halibut or the Rib-Eye Steak....both very tender and tasty...it practically melts in your mouth, it's that good!! Save room for their desserts as well; truly orgasmic :) Onto the Show...

Wow!! I was definately spoiled! The show was fastastic!! Great acting all around! The woman who played Roxie, Bianca Marroquin....definitely added a "spazz" quality to the character and it worked extremely well...definitely helps to show a human side of the character. More on the actors later!

The whole evening was a fabalous and glamorous event...one that I shall never foeget and by far the BEST Christmas/6 month anniversary present I could ever ask for :) Thank you Paul, I love you! I definately felt like a princess :)

Well...week 3 is coming up for the quarter...going ok so far...now it's time for me to get my butt in gear and get transcripts and such for SF and Sonoma. Happy January everyone! Later!

That Time of year...

Yup, yours truly has been bitten by the flue bug.....I was bed bound yesterday...not good considering it's only week 2 of the new quarter.....but I felt it better to hide in my room then brave a trip to De Anza.....Not a whole lot new with this poet, though I have a very special event coming up this Friday :)

My Lennan and I will be attending a performance of the musical "Chicago" (I mentioned before that was his Christmas present for me) at American Musical Theatre (AMT) in downtown San Jose. We'll both be all decked out for the occasion....Lennan shall be sporting a black sports jacket, black dress shirt, black slacks and a red tie...very elegant :) Myself, I will be donning a new red cocktail dress (halter-top style), with black heels, and jewerly to match :) Pics shall be taken and I shall have my Lennan teach me how to post pics on my sight.

Well, for now I must venture back home for food and lots of rest. My computer is being a major spazz, thus I am unable to use it :( Time for a new computer perhaps.

A Poem for the New Year...

A change in the wind,
warns of something to come.
The sky grows dark,
the clouds blanket the earth,
hiding the sun,
creating a never-ending darkness.
An eerie silence looms overhead;
the calm before the storm.
It hit without warning,
so strong, so fierce,
like being thrown against a brick wall.
The wind knocking down everything in its path.
Lightening bolts streak across the sky,
striking even the shortest of trees.
Tree tops ablaze with fire,
incinerating every tree in sight..
chaos surrounds me,
threatening my sanity.
Yet for once, it cannot break my barrier.
After all this time,
I've finally found the strength to withstand even the fiercest of storms.
Years of struggle, frustration, and pain,
have now come to an end.
I can tackle anything life throws my way.
Searching within myself,
I found the power,
hidden away all of these years.
As I bring my power to the surface,
the fires begin to die down;
all that remains are a few weak sparks.
Lightening no longer lit the darkened sky.
The wind ceased as suddenly as it came.
The sun peaked its way through the thick, dark clouds,
spreading warmth from its rays,

Back to the dwelling of DeAnza...

That's right....school's back in session.....had a fantastic break, short though it seemed.....catching up on sleep, spending time with my girls once they came home from college, seeing my Lennan as much as possible (always a good thing), chillin' in SB with the Fam for X-mas; to name a few festivities I enjoyed while on break :)

Also...HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! Wow, 2005 already...which means in 5 months, yours truly shall be finally able to enjoy in the fruits of going to a restaurant and having a glass of wine with her dinner, or going to local bars with my Lennan to hang with some of his buddies. Counting down the days...

So much has happened to me this past year.....here's a brief highlight to catch you all up to speed since I didn't start this blog till bout August/October(?)....

* celebrated one of my most memorable new years (though not in a good way): rushing a dog to a vet hospital because the dog thought eating rat poison was a good idea, then coming home after a dinner party to a huge mess of thrown up charcoal. (a dog I happened to be taking care of while the family went out of town; thanks Cali)...
* Drove to and from Davis for the first time all by myself to visit my older sis and my sexy bitch Becky....good times there
* Cool April Nights (car show in Shasta)
* dumped in the worst possible way by my ex-boyfriend (he's an asshole anyway...)
* had the unfortunate experience of a car accident...which resulted in a trip in the ambulance to El Camino Hospital ER to remove the glass from my left arm and hand, stitches and basic clean-up....losing my car, right to be on my parent's insurance and the priveledge to drive a car....(thank God for feet)...
* Auditioned for "Annie Get Your Gun" with Saratoga and received a part in the ensemble :)
* Met up again with Paul through auditioning for SDG, became friends, hung out, then eventually got together :) Still going strong after 6 months (I love you Lennan)
* School, school, school...

And that pretty much brings me to today (summarization was used of course)...a lot of little things in between, but I won't bore you all with that... ;)

Well....gotta go hit up the bookstore to buy my textbooks and once again make the money in my bank disappear :( For those of you who are back in school like myself...."Good Luck!!" For those of you who are still on vacation.... :P...I hate you and am mondo jelous.

Promises for a good quarter though when ya find out you'll have take home finals at the end of the quarter :)

Merry Chrstimas and Happy Holidays to all!! Had a blast down in SB.....family fun all around!! Nothing like getting tipsy and drunk with your family to celebrate the holidays :) Got some cool and helpful gifts: loads of money from the grand parents, toe socks toe socks toe socks!, new unbrella, lotion and body wash, duckie bath stuff :), calendar, next book in my series and some other cool stuff. All in all not a bad Christmas. I must say my best present of all came from my Lennan: On top of tickets to go see "Chicago", my Lennan made a recording of one of his songs, "Compass" on a CD for me......how I love that man! He's definately a keeper readers!

For now I am off to run errands with my mom and grandma J who is visiting from Cleveland, Ohio, then into the kitchen for some after xmas cookie baking. Happy Holidays to you all and Happy New Year!!

Hello again! 3 more days till X-mas, yay!!! I shall be leaving for SB late late late thursday night, or early early early friday morning...whichever way ya wanna look at it :/.....yay for two midnight shifts in a row :P oh well...money is money, though Lennan thinks I work too hard, but a girl has to to put herself through school and to save for future schooling...

Though I must say, I will be glad when it's after the holidays only because then the music station they play overhead at Mervyn's will go back to normal, not the repeated cheesy/random xmas songs it plays now.....I agree with one of my bosses, Deniss, "where did they find this music, Losers.com??" A good laugh I must say...well...off to take a quick nap, shower then a wonderful 8 hour shift...

Happy Holidays everyone!!

Sorry it's been such a long time since my last entry....work has been keeping me pretty busy....on top of that I've been trying to find the perfect template that screams, "Niamh!" I finally found it, but I am a little uneducated in the url/computer life....so my loving Lennan is going to help me get it all set up...stay tuned! For now I am counting down the days till Christmas....friday early morning I will be driving down to SB to join the rest of my family for holiday festivities.....I believe the final count is somewhere around 25 people at my aunt's house for Xmas day......I can't wait! I am a sit sad I will have to be apart from my love....but I will see him soon after to exchange gifts and celebrate the holidays further :) Tomorrow evening we shall be singing our hearts out to all the neighbors of the Tipton Family....A Caroling We Will Go!

Lennan is far too good to me.....for my Christmas present.....he is taking me to go see "Chicago" at AMT January 14!! That man spoils me so! I'll let ya know how it goes! Howdy all.

Another monday has come and gone.....thankfully it's the last week of the fall quarter....I am sooooo ready for a break from classes, studying and paper writing....my fingers could use the break too.....closed "Big River" over the weekend....everyone did a fantastic job!! Might be back at Saratoga Theatre to help tech for WVLO's next show "Smokey Joe's Cafe".....we'll see what my schedule will be like in march/april. For now, it's plugging away at the books to (hopefully) pass my finals...then breathe a sigh of relief....relax....bake christmas cookies, work, spend time with my friends (once they're home from college) and of course spend as much time as I can with my Lennan :) For now, happy holidays....books here I come!

Just a quickie for today, but oh what a quickie it is!!! Yours truly received her acceptance letter to San Francsico State University today!!!!! One down, 3 to go!! I'm stoked cause SF State is one of my top choices!!!! If I could, I'd be busting open a bottle of chapagne (sp?) in celebration.....well, all you who are over 21, have one for me! Well, gotta finish dinner, shower then off to work! I am in a fantastic mood!!! Yay for me!! Keep ya posted on the other colleges....but for now I am just going to enjoy the fact that I have a college to transfer to next fall (this poet was having major worries and doubts for a while there....).

Howdy all!

Another week has come and gone.....though looking
forward to Thanksgiving on thursday...I do love my
Turkey, and of course the good ol'side dish of
tripdafane (not sure howto spell it, but you get
the idea). Though I am a bit nervous....this year
I shall be meeting my boyfriend's "family"...not
the blood relatives....but the people he essentially
grew up with they're just as close as blood family...
I hope I make a good impression....what can I say?
Having approval of the family, and "family" is important
to me. Wish me luck! well, I'm at my Lennan's house
right now...so I'm gonna go enjoy a little "R & R" ;)

Good Evening/Good Morning to all!! Just a quick thought
before I head to bed for a few quick hours of sleep before
I rise for an early work day........

Growing up, you kinda formulate various ideas on what
"love" should be........there are also different kinds of love
as well........there's lustful love........passionate and as
adventurous it may be......it doesn't last.....usually fleeting.
There's "puppy-love" which is your basic "first love" or
"high school" kinda love....where you think you are in love
but you're really not......most people don't know how to
express their love properly at age 15/16 years old (not sex),
but the meaning behind saying the words, "I love you."
There's the "I love you cause I don't wanna be alone, love",
pray you never fall victim to that.........

Most importantly......there's true love....real, down to earth,
you're not just dreaming, love. This poet firmly believes
that she has finally found this type of love......the, can't live
without him, miss him when you're apart from him, hate
to leave you at the end of the evening, got you on my mind,
accepts you for who you are, I want to marry you, love. I
can hardly believe it.....but I found and have been blessed
with true love........Lennan is my true love. I love every
minute I spend with him (can't seem to get enough), love
being held by him in his arms, the way he cradles my face
so gently and lovingly in his hands, gazing deep into my
eyes........pure bliss.........right now....the only problem is
thatwe live separetly..........I would love to have an evening
where I fall asleep in his arms and wake up in his arms.......
my heart and arms definately ache for him as I fall asleep
each night.......I've grown used to saying goodnight and
sleeping alone......butfor some reason......the past couple
nights have been very difficult for me to say goodnight
and not feel an ache in my heart......I wonder if he feels a
similar, if not same, ache in his? Watching him walk away,
for some reason just keeps getting harder and harder and I'm
not surewhy.......does he find it just as difficult? Odd as it
may sound......I hope so......it would definately sting if I was
the only one who felt like this......

I am excited to see what the future has in store for me.......
but all I know is if my love, Lennan, is by my side......I shall
be just fine.....and life shall definately be a lot more happy :)
Promise to love me always Lennan........for I don't think my
heart could withstand any more heartache.

Howdy all!

Finally, Friday has arrived!!! Finishing up my first week at
Mervyn's...loving it.....tired as all though! Body's gotta get
used to working till 11pm.......it will.....have no fear :) Got
work off today.....I shall be up in the light booth at Saratoga
Theatre keeping my friends and my love in the spotlight for
yet another performance of "Big River"....come and see!!!

In other news, my friend Jenn is pregnant....saw a very cute
ultra sound picture....I love babies :) Also congrats to my
Lennan :) His sister gave birth to a healthy girl on thursday.
Happy days! He's now an uncle for the third time :) All
nieces and he loves it! Well....that's all for now....I shall
either be hitting up Jakes Pizza or a party at Dave's, friend

Howdy all,

Wow and it's only tuesday! I am one tired poet!! Thankfully
I got off work early tonight so I shall catch a few more winks
of sleep.......liking the new job...definately a happier woman
than I was before......ya never know just how much one thing
wrong in your life can bring ya down.....yay for being brought
back up! Big "thank you" to my loving Lennan for putting up
with me through all this. And for coping with my new work
hours. He leaves the best messages (thank you my love).....
hearing his loving voice after a long, tiring day before I go to
bed makes all the difference in the world :) Thanks to him I
am going to sleep with a smile on my face and extra warmth
in my heart. (insert "awwww" here). What can I say? I'm
deeply in love :)

That's it for now.....get a day off tomorrow...yay!! In which I
shall take advantage and see my Lennan :) But before that I
shall be venturing into the world of hair and get myself a new
"look". Nothing too drastic, though I shall be taking a few inches

Another week has gone by.......3/4 more weeks of classes
left then I get to relax from school, work alittle more, but

Had my first 8 hour shift at Mervyn's yesterday....went by

Just a quick note before I head off to dream land.........
for those of you out there who haven't fallen in love...
...I highly recommend it!! This poet has fallen and she's
fallen hard!! Lennan (thedailyfarmer), has earned my heart
and is the perfect man for this AstroPoet. I just wanted to
share how lucky I am to have been given a second chance
(a second meeting) with him........thank you theatre ;) Well...

Howdy all!!

Back on the payroll yet again.......had my first taste of
employmeny at Mervyn's.....went well...learned a few
tricks and got lots of practice ringing up customers....
I'll be an expert at folding clothes in no time ;) Not
much else is new.....still plugging away at the ol'
spotlight for "Big River", come and see!!! Well,

New Adventures

Howdy All!!

Well, I just got home from an evening at my new job;
Mervyn's! I had two hours in the training room learning
the register system, then was sent straight to the Men's
Department for the next two hours.....I even made a sale!!
Yay me! The store closed at 10pm, so for the last hour I
basically helped with detail and clean-up, aka folding
clothes, putting clothes back onto hangers, putting things
in their proper place.....basic stuff.....My first full work day
shall be this up-coming sunday. I am stoked! So far so good!
Definately better than working in a dungeon....I wonder how
they are getting along without me? oh well...don't really care!
That's it for now.... I am one tired gal and my bed is calling my
name. Sleep tight readers!

Cloudy Days and a Warm Heart...

Howdy all!!!

Well not too much is new in this Astro Poet's life. School is
going well, still just as in love, if not more, with my Lennan,
oh! Opened "Big River" this past Sat evening. Come and see!!

A few bumps along the way but the cast did a wonderful job for
opening night....very proud of all, especially my Lennan......I love
hearing him sing.....hey, it's how he won me over to begin with.....
back when he was Adam Pontipee in "Seven Brides for Seven
Brother" with WVLO bout 4-5 months ago :)

Last day at the Bookstore (aka the "dungeon") was last Thursday...
tiny bit sad, but I was more than ready to move on....got a nice card,
pretty bouquet if flowers, and a new journal.....a few nice gestures...
it was the least they could do....I gave them a year and a half of hard,
dedicated work, after all. I start Mervyn's this Wed, wish me luck!!

Howdy All!!!

Time sure has flown!!! I blinked and suddenly it was November!
One more month of Fall Quarter for this Astro Gal! Two more days
in the dungeon of De Anza.....yay for people putting on the ol' guilt
trip face....making me feel bad for leaving......whatever, it was about
time for a change......up coming opening night for WVLO's "Big
River"!! Sat Nov. 6 8pm. Come and See!! I won't be on stage
(I get to put those special actors/actress in the spotlight), but my
loving Lennan will as "Young Fool" and understudy "Huck" and
"Tom".....boy can my man act :) I'm doing m best to keep him in the
spotlight :) Well....that's it for now....this poet is exhausted!!!! Night!!

Trick or Treat?

Happy Halloween!!!

Tomorrow night this poet is gonna party :) That's right!! Time
for a little Halloween celebrating!! Gonna do it up proper too....
what better way to celebrate than party with a rad auzzie...and
in style no less......Lennan and I are going as a 1930's swing
couple......he'll look handsome in his 30's style suit,red suspenders,
fadora hat, and spats to complete the ensemble. Myself: I'll be
wearing a strapless white dress/red polka dots, blond bob style wig,
white wrist gloves, string of pearls with earings to match, and red
pointed heeled shoes. Once my man has pics posted on his site I'll
give ya the link......or hopefully I'll learn how to post pics on mine....
For now, Have a Happy Halloween everyone! Be safe, don't drink
and drive...but ya know that already so......Trick Or Treat!!!

Fairy Tales Do Come True...

Howdy!!

To the ladies who have ever wished or waited for their prince
charming:

Just when you think he'll never come.........out from the fog
rides your prince charming....sweeping you up in his arms,
brushing away every sad tear with one loving caress........I've
paid my dues by dating the "prince charming" looks alikes.....
you know? The ones that pretend to be "the one", then at the
first shed of a tear, they turn back into the frogs that they are?

Well.......this Astro Poet has finally found her prince.......Prince
Lennan. I put myself out there.....dared to do the one thing that
has grown to be my worst fear.........show a man my vulnerable
side, and let him see me cry.....even sob........and instead of turning
into a frog (like all the others from my past have).........he pulled me
close, held me tight......and just let me cry....even encouraged me...
...he told me "to let it all out"....he didn't want me to bottle up a
single tear.......my prince.....my knight in shinning armor has finally
arrived..........I Knew I was in love before.......but I love him even more
for that one simple gesture of coming over......pulling me close into his
embrace so I could cry........after I was done.......he stroked my cheek.....
wiped away any last tears.....looked me in the eye and said, "I'm still
here.....you won't scare me away.....I love you". All music to this poet's
ears. I'm sure he'll be reading this later, probably some point tomorrow..
...but I want him to :) I now believe in fairy tales......mine has finally
come true :)

Howdy all!!

Long time, i Know, I know.........Between classes, rehersals, job
interviews, current work and spending time with my man (lovin'
every minute of it by the way!), time seems to escape me! All is well
though....well is well.......looks like my past car acccident trama
wasn't over after all......yup....due to the trama of my lfet wrist looks
like I have a pinched nerve or a swollen one....... this coming friday
I start hand physical therapy....keep ya posted on how that goes.....yay
for doctor's who know what they are doing!! Here's something fun for

Howdy! Happy Friday!!

Well another week has gone by.....*sniff* no more "Annie Get Your
Gun". what shall I do with my weekends? Oh I know!! How about
doing Tech for WVLO's "Big River"?! Teehee yep fans! From on
stage to back stage for this Astro Poet! I'll keep ya posted and post
the info on the production next time :) For now......job hunting we
will go! I'm in the process of waiting to hear back about a job either
at Mervyn's or Marie Calendars.......hopefully either place will want
to hire me.......I can only stand being kept captive in the dungeon of
De Anza for so long.......I prefer to be sane (well as much sane as I
already was), rather than insane (I'm sure my boyfriend would too).
Let ya know how that turns out.....Well that's all for today...keepin'
it short.....off to Jazz class....then an evening of "Big River" rehersal,
then spending some time with my man by the fireplace all snuggled
up in a blanket, drinking hot chocolate.....awwwww :) I'm stoked!!

Coming to a close.....

Howdy All!

Well.....fun as it was the show has come to a close......of course there
are certain aspects I won't miss.....but there are a lot of things I will.
I've made soooo many new friends throughout the hell of rehersals,
all the way till we were finally cut loose and did our own thang once
performances began.......It's been an absolute hoot this past month.....
each and every one of my cast members (and the few select staff) have
earned a special place in my heart.....i hope i get the opportunity to
work with them again....but more importantly, keep in touch with
them......I shall get the priviledge of working with a few of them in
WVLO production of "Big River". I shall be keeping them all in
the spotlight and making them look good (since I am breaking once
again into the world of Tech). So come and check it out! More details
next time......

Well.....my next post shall be the wonderful and hilariously funny review
of the SDG players performing "What the hell are we doing?" at Bella Mia's
Restaurant this past sunday evening. Until then........try to stay dry! Later all!

Final Performance

Howdy all!

Wow! Good performance last night!! Though for a friday night..
...our audience seemed quite out of it......they laughed softly and
cut it short....and didn't laugh where the crowd usually does........
we still did great despite the lack of enthusiasm from the audience.
I was stoked!! Jeff Kohler (my drum major in marching band my
freshman year) has been playing trumpet in our orchestra...very cool
to see old friends again....and to top it off.....his twin sister Lisa came
and saw the show last night! It was great seeing her again, 6 years has
gone by...Lisa was my section leader her senior my freshman year......
good memories...."squirt"...teehee......

Last night I partied at our wonderful producers humble aboad, Bobby
and Garry....good times all around.....mt cast is hilarious....my sides were
definately splitting.....I had my wonderful love by my side as my date for
the evening......I've definately found a winner......I'm so lucky to have him
a part of my life....he keeps me sane, comforts me when I need it, but most
importantly....loves me for who I am....faults and all :)

Well....tonight I bid farewell to the stage, and performing with my cast...
our final performance has finally arrived.....my mom is coming as well as
my wonderful love, Paul......tears to be expected....tomorrow the cast is
having our final cast party at Bellemia's Restaurant in San Jose......let ya
know how that goes.....I'm excited cause I'll have my two biggest supporters
by my side.....my mom and paul :) Great times expected :)

Well.....we've reached the end of another week......yay for weekends!! For
all of you out there who haven't had a chance to see "Annie Get Your

night......*single tear*....I shall be sad to see it end.....the people in the cast

Winsday...

Howdy!

Sorry that my last post was so glum.......this AstroPoet just had a lot
on her mind was all........but after being comforted by my boyfriend,
a bit of a cry, and some sleep......i awoke feeling a bit better.....went to
my classes, then saw my man (in which I received a big hug and kiss
that definately made me feel better)....then made my way to the dungeon
of De Anza Books.......and back home, awaiting a call from my love telling
me he's on his way over to watch a movie, to end my day.....don't know
what I would if I didn't have his love and support to help pick me up......
Anyway......that's it for now....I want to express my "thanks" to annonymous,
whoever you are, for your advice....it is most appreciated.

Unloading Thoughts....

I would like to take a moment to unload my brain and a few
wonder's of life.....

1) Why do bad things happen to good people; especially when
life seems to be going their way?

Someone I care very deeply about had their car broken into in
an attempt to steal their car stereo.....thankfully they couldn't
figure out how to get it out but unfortunatly it was damaged in
the process......I know what it feels like to have your personal space
ruffled through and violated.......my house was broken into when I
was 10-11 years old....not fun......I just wish there was more I could
do......somehow expressing my sympathy and a hug just doesn't seem
to cut it...or do it justice......I've never felt more helpless or like a broken record..........suggestions anyone?

On a different note....

2) How do you help a friend that doesn't seem to listen and keeps
making the same mistakes?

I've just about reached my witts end helping my friend.....How can
I help him immprove if he seems to ignore my advise and doesn't
seem to help himself? He was doing so well.....making tons of
progress....until she came back into his life.....the older, yet immature,
marijuana smoking woman who knows how to push his buttons, does
so, not thinking how it will affect him...... pushing him towards a nasty
road that once you start walking down it.....it is very hard to turn
around.....backtrack....and find the right path to walk down.......I've been
down that road before.....true I had my few friends who helped me
out.......but I also had the aide of a professional therapist.......that is
exactly what my friend needs....and I've suggested it many times....but
I can only do so much.......I wish he would give this girl the boot.....work
on himself.....which will evidently help him walk away from a distructive
path onto a healing path..... again......suggestions anyone?

Hopefully life is treating the rest of my friends well......I love all my friends
that I'm here for them all......but this Astro Poet can only handle so many
people at a time... and right now I'm focused on the love of my life and my
good friend.......I pray I can help them both.......in whatever way they need...

Review of Sunday...

Howdy!

Yesterday was awesome!! I felt so loved by my family and Paul after
my performance yesterday.....they all cheered nice and loud for me as
I took my bow......I am loved!!! :) Happy that all the gun shots worked
properly and I remembered all my blocking and entrance cues.......wish
my voice didn't decide to die on me during "Sun in the Morning"
though......oh well (thankfully I have no solo's). It was really great to see
my family and visit with them (short that it was). Paul made a great
impression :) The fam extended an invite to come and visit SB and Davis
sometime...good times :) He's a great guy and I'm lucky to have him.

Well that's it for now......slowly unboxing from the move......making my
room into my own personal decor.......stars, moons, suns and rubber
duckies! Yay!!!!

Family on the way...

Howdy all!
2 great performances under the belt......few technical glitches...but that's live theatre for ya *shrug*.........Today I am expecially excited cause I finally have people in the audience coming to see me and me alone!!! And my love, Paul, finally gets to sit in the audience and watch me perform on stage!!! Yipes!! No pressure!! Party at Lucy's on friday night was tons of fun!! Her condo is gorgeous!!!
Last night was a blast! Sexy Bitch, Becky (Rebecca to everyone else) came home and we hung out and tore up the town 'till bout 2:15am....good times....stopped for a brief visit with Paul and his buddies...good times there......good times all around.....

Well that's it for now!! Gotta go do a bit of studying before I make my way to the theatre to put on the pounds of theatre makeup, get into costume and sing my heart out! Let ya know how it went in my next entry......think good thoughts......I wanna do great today for my fam and Paul :)

TGIF!!!!

Howdy all and welcome to friday! I love fridays cause I'm taking this kick
ass Jazz class and I am having a blast thus far!! Met a cool group of gals
and we're already brainstorming for a routine for the final.....definite good
times ahead there! More on that next week.......

Second to last weekend of Saratoga Drama Group performing "Annie Get
Your Gun".......tonight performance is at 8pm, to which after I am off to
partiing with my cast, my man at my side, fun times will be had :).....Sat
night 8pm and sundaymatinaee at 2:30pm.....to which my family from SB,
Moraga, Davis and Cupertino, along with my wonderful man Paul are
coming to see me perform :) Yay!!!! So for all of you who haven't seen it

Good Times and Bad.....

Wow! Another day in the life of Niamh.....

Well......school was fine....classes are actually enjoyable things quarter...I
love being in college vs. high school.....good times.......then there's work.....
the dungeon of books........
Honsetly.....I need to find a new job........sick of being treated like shit.....
kicked to the curb.......all while watching the "newbies" (employies that
started 3 weeks ago; I've been working there for about one year and 7
months) get trained to do the job that I used to do and have the access
for.....GRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!! Keep ya posted on the job hunt...
Many thanks to my loving boyfriend, Paul (aka The Daily Farmer), for
listening to me complain about work so that I don't keep it bottled
inside and go even more insane that I already have.....I love that man
very much! :)
(insert "awwwww" here...........)

Pick up rehersal earlier this evening for AGYG.....funt times.....good to
see everyone again (since performances started we only see eachother
on weekend)....but not so fun to be under control of a director again.....
oh well.....tomorrow night however......another round of performances
and party after so good times will be had there......
Oh!! Double the fun.......My bud Laura is in town for a brief visit and
I'll get to hang with her for a bit tomorrow morning before jazz class....
good times......AND......My Sexy Bitch Becky us in town for the
weekend!!! Definite Fun times ahead!! Especially if she comes and parties
with the theatre folk....mmmm.....Sexy bitch, myself, and alcohol....mmmm
....teehee good times....more crazyness to be expected!!
That's it for now.......a certain bed is calling my name and I don't intend to
keep it waiting....besides......once my head hits the pillow I'll be fast asleep

Hello once again!
A little poetry to start off the morning.....enjoy!

Changes
Sept 2001

I am at my best when…
the sun is shinning upon my face.
Sitting on a grassy hill,
the sun brings me warmth throughout my entire body.
Up above, the clouds are slowly floating by.
At that moment, only I exist,
nothing else seemed to matter.
A sigh escaped my lips as I lay on my back,
trying to let things be.
Then suddenly,
the weather drastically changes for the worse.
The sun vanishes,
hiding behind a dark, threatening cloud.
The sky is no longer friendly and inviting,
but threatening, warning me to go away.
Lightning flashes light up the sky.
Thunder shakes the mountaintops.
The clouds burst open and begin to cry.
Slowly at first, but once it started,
it seems as if wouldn’t, maybe couldn’t, stop.
As it rains down upon my face,
I wipe the raindrops away as best as I can.
Until I realize,
The raindrops weren’t the only reason why my face was moist.
I wipe away a raindrop, And draw it to my lips.
Salty!?
My own tears are mixed in with the rain.
I’m crying, I realize.
But, why?

Another day in the life of Niamh....

Howdy all! Just a quick note before I make my way to the Dungeon that is De Anza.......
Well bodily wise a possible reprocussion (sp?) from my car accident back in June has come up.....
For the past couple weeks (month or so) my left hand has been tingling to a point where I can't really grasp
anything....I went to the doctor yesterday and she thinks I have a pinched nerve and the beginning of tendinitise (sp?).......on anti-inflamitories for 2 weeks and all braced up as well......we'll see in two weeks...
Anyway...that's all for now.....gotta jet to Philosophy class.....test and all today......Please send all Positive
Karma my way...much appreciated!

Hello! AstroPoet decided to join the wed world after viewing fellow blogspot dailyfarmer :)
Here's a bit about me:
Embarking a new quarter at De Anza....hoping to finish by this upcoming Spring and then off to one of the following transfer school's: 1) Sonoma State 2) Chico State 3) San Francisco State
4) San Luis Obispo Cal Poly. I'll find out in the spring, keep ya posted :)
